Net Health

Shortly after completing the pilot of the Leaders Collaborative in June of 2007, one of our participants Patrick Colletti, President of Net Health Systems, a healthcare software company, began to explore the possibility of bringing the core Strengths Development learning to his company.

Net Health

9/11 Boom…or Bust

Net Health is a turn-around success story—nearly disappearing in the post 9/11 tech bust. Patrick became President during the tumult, but through perseverance, belief in a great product and a few committed staffers, Patrick and his team dug themselves out of debt and began to build Net Health into a thriving and dynamic company with a real niche in healthcare marketplace. The company has sustained a 40%+ annual growth rate while increasing profitability for eight consecutive years.

Build on Strengths

The Leaders Collaborative confirmed Patrick's sense that a well rounded leadership team built on an intentional, strengths-based culture would be the catalyst for healthy growth. By implementing strengths-based training, moving people increasingly into their “sweet spots” and hiring new talent based not just on their competencies but on their strengths and values alignment, Patrick and his leadership partner Christopher Hayes (a graduate of the Leaders Collaborative Year 2) are building a true values-based, serving-culture aligned by strengths.

Culture Trumps Strategy

When asked about the value of the Leaders Collaborative not only for his own personal development but for the growth of culture at Net Health, Patrick had this to say,

"Bringing the Leaders Collaborative Strengths Development inside our organizations has allowed our team to engage around a shared understanding and common language while galvanizing our culture and culture building efforts. Our teams are more effective and self directed, which allows us to quickly meet the demands of the rapidly evolving business environment. Net Health's culture is one of innovation and intelligent risk taking. Because of our interaction with the program, our people have many pathways for personal growth and learning; we encourage a balanced life that includes work, family, service and fun which is now hardwired into our culture.

Our investment in the Leaders Collaborative team over the last three years, has prepared us to respond to our tremendous growth opportunities. There is no doubt that we have achieved a material return.

Results to the Bottom Line

Net Health's growth and culture have been featured in many local and national publications and the company has received several awards over the last 8 years including; The Inc. 5000, Inc. top 100 fastest growing inner city companies (ICIC), Pittsburgh Tech 50, and Software Magazine's top 500. Net Health was also named top 50 Best places to work in by the Pittsburgh Business Times and the Post Gazette for the last two years.
